1.1 Appmazed respects your privacy and are committed to protecting Personal Information provided by you or otherwise shared with us while using our mobile application, Mazed (the “App”).
1.2 Mazed has adopted this privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) with the aim of explaining our collection, use and storing of your Personal Information in connection with your use of the App.
1.3 It may be necessary from time to time to amend the Privacy Policy. An updated version will at all times be available here.
1.4 The processing of your Personal Information is governed by the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and national data protection legislation.
“Mazed”: Mazed (also “we”, “our” and “us”) is an App, provided by the business entity, Appmazed ApS, to which you can sign up and gain access to our services.
“User”: A person signing up to use our App and the included services.
“Account”: Each User has an account in the App.
3.1 We process the following Personal Information as a Data Controller when you use the App:
(a) Name
(b) Phone number
(c) User ID (Google or Apple)
(d) Picture
(e) Chat data
(f) Friends in the App
(g) IP-address
(h) Device identifier
(i) Profile information form third-party applicationlogin (name, profile picture, email address)
3.2 Some Personal Information is provided directly from you when you sign up to our App and some Personal Information is collected automatically as part of your use of the App.
3.3 We may combine your Personal Information with non-personal Information.
3.4 We provide third-party application login methods to the App from Google and Apple. If you use either one of these login methods, you authorize us to access certain account information from your Google or Apple account. Appmazed has no responsibilities for Google’s and Apple’s processing of your Personal Information in this regard and we refer you to read the privacy policies of these third parties to gain insights to their processing of your Personal Information.
4.1 We process your Personal Information for the following purposes:
(a) Managing and providing the App to Users, including setting up and administrating Accounts and chat services;
(b) Analyzing usage of the App and included services;
(c) Provide customer and technical support;
(d) Maintain, manage and improve the App and included services with the aim of optimizing User experience;
(e) Security such as preventing misuse or to identify hacking etc.
4.2 We will only process your Personal Information for the above specific purposes. If the purposes change, we will inform you and ensure that we have a valid legal basis to proceed with the processing for the new purposes.
5.1 We rely on the following legal basis when processing your Personal Information:
(a) Consent: When you sign up to use the App, you provide us with a consent to process your Personal Information as provided by you directly or obtained from third party application login providers at your choice;
(b) Performance of a contract: When you use the App, we process your Personal Information for the purposes of providing you with customer and technical support and administrating your Account which is part of our performance of the contract entered by you as a User and us governed by our online terms;
(c) Legitimate interest: We have a legitimate business interest in processing some of your Personal Information for the purposes of analyzing usage of the App and included services, to optimize the general User experience and to enforce our terms and ensure appropriate security measures;
(d) Legal obligation: Sometimes, we may be under legal obligation to process your Personal Information to comply with our legalobligations.
6.1 When you sign up to use the App, you acknowledge that we may share or disclose your Personal Information to the following third parties:
(a) Share up
(b) Adjust
(c) Google
(d) Apple
(e) JakeWharton/Timber
(f) Coil
(g) Airbnb (Lottie Framework for animation)
6.2 Our sharing of your Personal Information with third parties may include sharing your Personal Information with businesses originating from third countries, such as the United States of America. Appmazed has ensured that the storage of your Personal Information resides within the EU. Appmazed only uses third party providers who has implemented appropriate security measures for the protection of Personal Information and has committed to keep your Personal Information safe from access from foreign government bodies in alignment with EU’s Recommendations on Supplementary Measures. 6.3 You can download the App through a platform operated by a third party e.g. App Store, Google Play, etc. We have no control over your Personal Information processed by these third parties as they are not affiliated with or controlled by Appmazed ApS. Accordingly, the use of the App may be subject to additional third party privacy policies.
7.1 We process your Personal Information for as long as you have an active Account in the App.
7.2 You are able to edit your Account at any time. You are also able to delete your Account. If you delete your Account, we will immediately delete your Personal Information.
7.3 You may at any time send an email to: contact@mazed.io to request deletion of your Personal Information. If using this right, your Account will be deleted and data in the App connected to your Account will be lost.
7.4 We may at any time, if your use of the App is in violation with our online terms, delete your Account and associated Personal Information.
7.5 The above retention rules cf. 7.1-7.4 are subject to a few exemptions:
a) We retain some of your Personal Information longer if necessary for us to comply with legal obligations or to enforce our onlineterms.
b) Personal Information shared by you to another user of the App via the in-app chat function will continue to be stored in the other user’s chat.
8.1 We may at some point decide to sell some of our assets and activities – partly or in whole – to other businesses. Such transactions may include customer information and thereby your Personal Information and Userdata. You acknowledge that any such transaction may occur when accepting our online terms and thereby that any other business acquiring assets and activities from us may continue to use and process your Personal Information.
9.1 We will not knowingly process Personal Information from any person under the age of 16. Persons under the age of 16 is not allowed to sign up to use the App.
10.1 According to the GDPR and the Danish Data Protection Act, you have certain rights:
(a) You have a right of access to the information that we process about you as well as certain other information;
(b) You have the right to have inaccurate PersonalInformation concerning you rectified;
(c) In special cases, you have the right to havePersonal Information about you erased before our general erasure time;
(d) In certain cases, you have the right to restrict the processing of your Personal Information;
(e) In certain cases, you have the right to object to our otherwise legitimate processing of your Personal Information; and
(f) In certain cases, you have the right to receive your Personal Information in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to transmit such personal data from one data controller to another without hindrance (data portability).
